About Me

I’m very much an easy going designer who wants the Client to be involved as much as possible every step of the way. Although I treat the design professionally, I believe the design process and build of the garden should be enjoyable and exciting for everyone. I want to make sure the Clients feel that their input is being considered, that they are part of the design and that they are being heard.

I originally trained as a highways engineer many moons ago and came to garden design a bit later in life. I’ve got City and Guilds certificates in many aspects of gardening, an RHS level 2 qualification in horticulture and qualified in garden design at Merrist Wood College in Surrey, obtaining a garden design diploma with a distinction in 2015.

I’ve also had 2 show gardens at the Hampton Court Flower Show, winning best City Garden and a silver-gilt medal in 2016 and the Peoples’ Choice Award with a silver medal in 2018. I love chatting to people about plants and gardens, so spending a week in the sunshine at the show doing just that was a pure joy.
